About the Practitioner

Elyze Stewart CMT.


I began my initial training of 1000 hours at the Jay Scherer Academy of Massage and Natural Healing in Santa Fe New Mexico in 1980.

This school provided training in Swedish Massage,Shiatsu,Energy work,Extensive Anatomy,Stretching and Movement Therapy, Relaxation techniques,Polarity Therapy,Visualizations,Breath work,Sound and Light Therapy and Bioenergetics.

I went on to study at the International School of Massage in San Francisco where I then taught massage.I trained at The Acupressure Institute in Berkeley.I studied Cranio-Sacral,Soma-Emotional Release,Mechanical Link,and Visceral Manipulation through the Upledger Institute.I became a certified Yoga instructor at The Yoga Room in Berkeley and have enjoyed studying yoga with Angela Farmer over the years.I have studied Tai-Qi, Qi-Gong,and Continuum.I continue to study Osteopathic techniques and other modalities.I trained at the Rosen Center in Berkeley.I also studied Huma Transpersonal Bodywork with Louise Barrie.I am an on going student of Faisal Muqaddam and the Diamond Logos practice.

My primary practice is Rosen Method Bodywork which facilitates awareness and connection between the body,breath,and feelings bringing ease,aliveness,congruency and authenticity into ones life.

I enjoy working with people in this way.Seeing them become more connected with themselves through working with them is a true delight and honor.
